Six ways to be part of it.

Plötzlich 18 (ongoing, project-based by school year): A hands-on programme for young people that uses the motivation to fund their prom as a concrete starting point. Behind it stands a bigger goal: participants gain the basics of business planning, bookkeeping, costing and shared responsibility. Above all, they take something with them into adult life: a first understanding of financial independence, leadership responsibility and the value of volunteering.

Game Jam (once a year, on request for schools and groups): Multi-day events where young people, in mixed teams and within a short time, come up with, design and present a game. The focus is on team dynamics, creative problem-solving, communication under time pressure and mutual respect.

Annual exhibition for pupils and teachers (once a year): A yearly exhibition of work by pupils and teachers. Each year centres on a different theme.

Artist community (ongoing): Denk.Mal actively seeks opportunities and partnerships for artists from Celle, locally, across the region and internationally. Residency programmes, joint exhibitions, networking formats and targeted support with applications and grants.

Exhibitions (regular, various formats throughout the year): Over the course of the year, exhibitions take shape with changing themes and participating artists.

Café Trift 32, a meeting space with a pinboard system (ongoing, open on selected days): A small café run by members of the association or by young people. It serves as a point of contact for language practice groups, self-help groups and informal get-togethers. Two pinboards show what someone needs and what someone can offer.

German practice, open to all (weekly): An open, informal German practice session for everyone, regardless of background, language level or residence status.

Klönschnack, German and international women in conversation (every two months, with an annual celebration once a year): An informal gathering that brings German and international women together. Every two months we meet around changing topics: we practise German, share and network, read books together or play games. Once a year we celebrate our annual festival, which marks how many years each participant has already spent in Germany.

International Celle Christmas Market (once a year): A special market where women founders from Celle and international women present their products, craftsmanship and culinary specialities. The market creates encounters between people from all over the world and the people of Celle, with gift ideas, food and drink, fun and decorations. Around 20% of the stallholders are men, warmly welcome. A place where diversity becomes visible and where it is fun.

FrauenWerkstatt (monthly): Women learn practical DIY and handiwork skills together: painting walls, mounting shelves, small repairs and how to use tools.

Leadership Workshops (regular, several times a year): Two formats: “Women for Women” (women as trainers and as the audience) and “Men for Women” (men as allies and supporters of women’s leadership). Topics: assertiveness, holding a conversation, networking, setting boundaries and being seen.

Connect & Create (ongoing): An open space for meeting and working, for everyone who wants to move their heart project or business forward, together rather than alone. In everyday coworking, at regular networking meet-ups and shared workshops, a community grows that carries you: mutual support, honest feedback and new connections. True to the motto “Together Everyone Achieves More.”

Annual association meet-up: Do’s & Dont’s for non-profit associations (once a year): An open event for people who already run an association, but also for everyone who wants to realise projects through an association or simply understand how volunteering really works. Topics: legal basics, common mistakes in running an association, bookkeeping for associations, successful funding applications and sharing experiences. The aim is to make volunteering more understandable, more accessible and more effective.

Art teachers’ meet-up (roughly every two months): Since 2020, teachers from all types of schools in Celle and the surrounding district have met with us, from vocational schools, secondary schools, grammar schools, special-needs schools and independent schools. What began as a casual meet-up has grown into a team, open and easygoing. We share experiences, network and carry out projects together, including exhibitions that bring students and teachers onto the stage side by side. Are you an art teacher or simply interested in art?
